ziplist broke wordpress 3.9 visual editor (24 posts)

    Hi, I have updated wordpress and discovered that ZipList plugin broke the visual editor, and the text editor too is not available anymore.
    Please, can you provide a solution or release an updating to solve the problem.
    Love the plugin and need a very quick solution.

    Same here.... Took a while before I found out, Ziplist with a Z is the last in my plugin list:-)

    Ditto for me - the very last plugin in my list! :-P

    We have dozens of recipes published on our blog and having to turn to a different plugin would be time consuming.

    Luckily I started with Easy Recipe in the beginning, but changed to ZipList a year ago or so. So now I bought Easy Recipe and they explained to me (they guessed my question was due to this broken plugin :-) )how to convert the recipes to Easy Recipe. it still is quite a bit of work, because I have to copy the recipe and therefor the ZipList plugin must be switched on and than I need to convert it in the editor, so at that moment the plugin must be switched off again... sigh... But they also told me they are working on a work around so that ZipList recipes are readable even when the plugin isn't installed! They think it will take 48 hours before that is ready.

    Update for ZipList Partners: We are still working hard and are hopeful that we will have a new release very soon. In the meanwhile, please send us an email at partners@ziplist.com and we can provide you with a temporary patch fix. For now, you will not be able to edit your ZipList recipes but you will be able to display existing recipes and edit posts. Again, thanks for your patience and we hope to have a lasting fix, shortly.

    Just an update @eyris

    EasyRecipe now no longer requires that you convert each recipe or that Ziplist is active. You can get EasyRecipe to display Ziplist recipes just by checking the "Display Ziplist Recipes" option in the EasyRecipe settings. You can read more about it here

    It has also caused a big issue on my site...so much so that even my theme became compromised, so now I'm rebuilding everything.

    Oh, you can use EasyRecipe, but the option for displaying Ziplist costs $24.95.

    Great news! The ZipList Plugin, version 2.4, is now available and fully compatible with the WordPress 3.9 Update: http://wordpress.org/plugins/ziplist-recipe-plugin/. Feel free to upgrade from WordPress at any time.

    Hi Kalimar,

    I just updated and I'm still seeing the same problem. I know it's not any other plug in because when I deactivate Ziplist the problem goes away. Any additional guidance is appreciated. Thank you!

    This may be a specific problem to your site. Can you be so kind as to send us an email at plugins@ziplist.com and we'll continue troubleshooting your specific problem there.

    2.4 is not working for me either :( I have tried twice. Sending an email to the address provided now.

    It doesn't work for me either. With it installed my new recipes are not showing on my website and it is making the editor go blank. FAIL. SO FRUSTRATED.

    Sorry to hear you are still having some problems.
    We suspect that the problem you and some of our other users are experiencing is due to an older copy of the Plugin code that may be caught in the web cache and is still being delivered instead of the new code. For most people so far, clearing that cache and/or allowing enough time to pass is solving the problem.

    So please, if possible, clear any website or CDN cache you have set up to speed the loading of your web pages, as this has been a problem for some.

    Looks like one problem folks are having is with the new interface. In order to expedite the release of the plugin, we modified the functionality slightly. Now, rather than clicking on the place holder image to edit your recipe, you'll want to click on the "fork and spoon" again. That will open the recipe that's already on the page. If there are no recipes on the page, then it will create a new one.

    Hi there!

    I had the same issue. Just upgraded to Z'list 2.4. Manually emptied my browser's cache, etc. And that seems to have taken care of it. My visual editor has returned and Ziplist is working.

    Thank you SO MUCH Jayce53! Following that article (http://support.easyrecipeplugin.com/knowledge-base/how-to-make-easyrecipe-display-ziplist-posts/) and having EasyRecipe display my Ziplist recipes totally worked!

    After clicking to have EasyRecipe display my Ziplist formatted recipes, all of my recipes now show up under my EasyRecipe design. PHEW! So much easier than manually copy and pasting each recipe over. That would have taken HOURS!

    After "deactivating" my Ziplist plugin, my visual editor now works perfectly. But all my recipes are still displaying perfectly. Such a lifesaver! Glad everything is back to normal.

    And in my very humble opinion, I have had MUCH better luck ranking higher in Google and having Google display the "recipe image" next to my recipe link when I use EasyRecipe plugin. I think when the image shows up people are much more likely to click to read that recipe. I've done recipes with both plugins, and the EasyRecipe ones always rank higher with image snippets. Just my experience.

    Mine is working again! I cleared the cache and it still didn't work, but then overnight it started working again! I think it just needed a little time? So for those of you still struggling, clear your cache, sleep on it and maybe you'll be back in business!

    The updated plugin worked for me for about 20 minutes, and now it's back to breaking my visual editor. I've cleared my cache multiple times and nothing has changed. This is a massive hassle and I feel like my recipes are being held hostage!

    I sent an email 4 hours ago and have yet to hear anything. The problem still persists.
