• Hello, and thanks for all your hard work. I use godaddy with multiple hosting accounts. Some accounts use their new cpanel hosting and others use the old godaddy hosting. I was hoping the new cpanel would work with your Backwpup’s ZIP option, but it still times out or takes way too long after multiple restarts to finish.

Another plugin I use called “Duplicator” zips fine on both of godaddy’s hosting platforms. It zips all the files and the .sql file as well.

So please my I ask you to look into how the Duplicator is creating zip files, and see if maybe you can do something similar. Because Backwpup’s zip is unreliable. Maybe it has something to do with your ajax functions, I don’t know.

I currently use Backwpup’s Gzip option as you suggested a while back, but I found a troubling issue… When I un-archived your Gzip file on the godaddy server, some of the files do not get created / unzipped. But when I downloaded the gzip to my pc, unzipped it, then Zipped it using 7-zip and uploaded it back to the server, it unzipped fine on the server. So i’m very worried about using the Gzip option. Maybe that’s a godaddy issue with un-archiving gzip files, since 7-zip was able to un-archive it fine.

So, please may I suggest that you take a look into how the Duplicator plugin creates zip files on the server, and see if maybe you can do the same to solve the zip issues with Backwpup.

    Thank you again!
