[Resolved] Zip file?

  • I believe I am following the instructions and it says the wowslider file I create is a zip file. When I go to save it, it’s a .wowsl file and there is no options to save it as a zip file. Then when I try to upload it, I get a wordpress message stating that the file type is not allowed for security reasons. Am I missing something?

As you can see in our instruction and video tutorial, you should select “WordPress Slider” as publishing method and click “Publish” button. So, why do you click “Save” button? “Publish” and “Save” are different buttons and perform different tasks.
Please read instruction and watch video tutorial carefully.

I have selected “WordPress Slider” as the publishing method and I saved the file by clicking the “Publish” button. Is the saved file supposed to be a zip file? According to the video instructions I believe it is. I find it in the folder as a .wowsl file and there is no way to change it to a zip file.

For whatever reason, I just tried it again and it’s saving as a zip file. No longer a problem. WordPress is doing some strange things tonight with other plugins as well, so maybe it’s a WordPress issue.
