    Backwpup 5.2.1 / alte Jobs (Legacy Jobs)
    1). Die automatische Sicherung der alten Jobs (Legacy Jobs) über Cron funktioniert nicht mehr.
    Wenn ich die Jobs händisch starte funktionieren noch die alten Sicherungen über FTP auf meinen Fritzbox-Speicher.

    Neue Jobs / neue Oberfläche (New Jobs / New design)
    2). Bei neu erstellten Jobs über die neue Oberfläche funktioniert die Umstellung auf ZIP nicht. Obwohl ich ZIP-Ordner bevorzuge und ausgewählt habe, werden die neuen Jobs generell als TAR erstellt und versandt.

    3). Die Mailbenachrichtigung bei den neuen Jobs funktioniert überhaupt nicht. Werder bei automatischer Sicherung noch bei manueller Sicherung. Es werden keine Mails versandt.

    4). Warum kann man nur generell eine pauschale Mailbenachrichtigung für alle Sicherungen einstellen und nicht für jede separate Sicherung eine separate Mail wie bei den alten Sicherungen?

    5). Wenn ein Job manuell gestartet wird, dann erscheint der Fortschrittsbalken, wenn aber derselbe Job automatisch via CRON gestartet wird, dann erscheint der Fortschrittsbalken nicht.

    6). Wenn ein Datei-Job erstellt wird, bei dem nur ein einziges Verzeichnis gesichert werden soll, dann werden oberhalb diesen Verzeichnisses alle Php-Dateinen, HTML-Dateien und Htaccess-Dateien mit gesichert obwohl ich im Menü alles andere ausser das zu sichernde Verzeichnis ausgeschlossen habe.

    Ich kann mich manchen Vorrednern nur anschließen.
    Es ist ein Desaster und eine Zumutung.

    1. If your legacy jobs stopped running after the update, could you please confirm if you’ve followed the reactivation steps described here?

      That should restore the CRON functionality for older jobs.
    2. Regarding the ZIP format issue — we’ve tested this on our end and ZIP remains selected and used as expected. If you’re seeing TAR instead, there might be a configuration conflict or caching issue. We’d love to inspect this further if you can reach out.

    3 & 4) The missing email notifications for new jobs is something we’re aware of and working to fix. Your feedback about needing separate emails per job has been noted — thanks for flagging that!

    1. The progress bar currently only displays for manual jobs. We’re aware this may feel inconsistent and are looking into better visual feedback for scheduled jobs as well.
    2. As for the file job issue — it sounds like something unusual is happening with the directory selection. We’d be happy to help investigate this directly with your setup.

    Hey @frank9652,

    We were able to replicate the issue where newly created jobs default to TAR format even when ZIP is selected. Our team is working on a fix, and we plan to include it in an upcoming update soon.

    We’ll keep you posted once it’s released!

    1). Thanks for your notice for reactivation the old backup-Jobs via CRON-Jobs.
    Now the old Jobs are running again.
    2). Glad tho hear you are working on the TAR/ZIP problem.
    Actual I am very busy.
    I will monitor further developments and get back to you in about four weeks.
