Zemanta Editorial Assistant and Featured Image on Facebook

    Tried to resolve this elsewhere. Set featured image. Fails to display on Facebook. Any assistance would ever so useful. Thank you.

    I link from the site to Facebook, and an entirely different image is selected.
    I’ve done the following:
    1. Ensured that the image size meets the Facebook requirements
    2. Gone so far as to delete previous posts and images from the media file to see if the same issue would appear. Also cleared browser, etc. Tested in two other browsers and same problem. Chooses different image from one featured.
    3. Deleted then re-downloaded plug-in.

    Still to no avail. Love the product for its recommendations on related articles. Do not use it for images. Set featured images from media file which were imported from elsewhere.

    Hey,

    thanks for reaching out! To be completely honest we had a user with the similar issue but could never get to the bottom of it – it has something to do the way Facebook grabs thumbnails. I did a little digging and I have found this plugin that could maybe help: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-facebook-open-graph-protocol/ . Haven’t tested it out myself but I am eager to hear the results if you decide to try it out.

    Petra, I can’t begin to thank you enough. Although I was amply warned that the plug-in had not been tested on my version (the most current) of WordPress, it works beautifully. I just posted onto Facebook without a single hitch.

    Don’t know what I’d do without you!
