Youtube Videos stopped working?

    For some reason all of the youtube videos on my site have stopped working. I’m using the arthemia theme, and creating a custom field called ‘Video’, and adding the direct youtube link. (not the embed code). It worked up until a few weeks ago. Please help me figure out what the problem is and if you need any code to aid you in the process. Thanks.

    p.s. I don’t know if this helps but you can go to http://www.videodl.org/ or a similar site to save your YouTube videos as .flv files and then use a FLV player plugin to show them.

    Hmmmm my last post seems to have disappeared (maybe b/c of the link?) but there are web sites where you can convert your Youtube videos into FLV files and there are FLV player plugins for WordPress.

    There are also utility programs like Super and Riva Encoder for converting from various video formats to FLV.

    I found out that the theme uses JW Player, but I still can’t find a solution to it.. any ideas?

    Do you mean that you tried JW Player and it didn’t work? Did you use the shortcode example on the plugin documentation web site?

    Are you still trying to play them from a YouTube URL are did you upload the FLV files to your own server?

    I am trying to play them from a youtube URL. The arthemia theme is set up so all you do is enter ‘Video’ in the custom fields and the youtube URL as the value. It automatically puts the video into the post, along with the most recent on the front page. I would like to keep it this way as I don’t want to overload our servers with the FLV files.
