    I’ve got the same problem with a Vimeo link.

    It seems the ods_remove_first_shortcode function does not work with the WordPress autoembed feature.

    So when you embed a video by just pasting the Vimeo/Youtube url on a single line in your post, it is not recognized.

    Workaround is to not just paste your url, but use the [video] shortcode:

    [video src="your/video/url"]
