    Good evening all,

I’m working on a website for a client of mine and I’m about to throw my laptop across the room.

I’ve got Jetpack installed on a premium theme (via Themeforest) by an elite author.

So copy-pasting youtube links should do the trick with [youtube] or [embed]. I’ve tried both, as well as using the iframe that’s available on Youtube. However the height will not adjust, it’s somewhere around 90px.

I’ve tried youtube embedding with a height of 360px, I’ve tried custom css on the .youtube-player with !important. But it just stays the same.

I’ve checked with the chrome developer thingy and somehow a height of about 90px keeps getting inline styled, but I don’t know why.

So if anyone can help me, please, hopefully I’ll still have a laptop to read your response!

  • Have you tried on the default theme? With all plugins deactivated? Just to start trying to eliminate possible causes?

Got so frustrated, I never used YouTube videos again. I figured it out eventually. Some part of the theme was conflicting and adding element.style with a height between 15 and 90 pixels.

Bit of CSS specificity solved it.
