Youtube embedded in latest post block

    Dear all,

    I am desperately trying to get an youtube embedded video from a post in the “latest posts” block on my starting site using the twenty twenty three theme. However, the theme or WP itself always strips the <iframe> tag in the full-content enabled latest-posts block. The video itself shows fine in the post itself but gets removed to the URL of the youtube video on my latest posts page.

    I already removed all filters from the kses.php and tried to add exceptions for iframe and script tags there, without any success. I have no idea at which point the tags get stripped away.

    Has anyone an idea how to implement youtube videos to the latest posts block?

    Hi there, I don’t think this is an issue with the Twenty Twenty-Three theme, so it would be better suited for the Fixing WordPress forum.

    That said, I’m happy to try to help you here. 🙂

    Have you tried using a Query Loop block? It’s quite similar to Latest Posts and there shouldn’t be any issues with using YouTube blocks within them.
