Support » Plugin: Feed Them Social - for Twitter feed, Youtube, Pinterest and more » Youtube channel not displaying any video

  • Hi! I linked my youtube channel months ago, and everything was working fine. But from one month to today, the youtube shortcode only shows the Follow Button of my channel, zero videos.

    Example of shortcode: [fts_youtube vid_count=3 large_vid=yes large_vid_title=no large_vid_description=no thumbs_play_in_iframe=yes vids_in_row=4 omit_first_thumbnail=no space_between_videos=1px force_columns=no maxres_thumbnail_images=yes thumbs_wrap_color=#000 channel_id=UCBQES3SqvA7QirWyg69v3QQ]

    Hi @marioalbornoz7,

I just tested your shortcode and it, currently, is displaying.

Since the onset of this current pandemic, Google/YouTube has changed some things on their end, one thing has been that they have reduced their call limit. So, many users will see their videos up for a few hours, then gone. Once this happens, Google/YouTube has a 24 hour hold before allowing any more calls. We have reaching out to Google/YouTube for a reasonable amount of calls to resume.

There is a workaround, which is a little involved, but will help bypass the daily call limit restrictions. You can generate an API Key manually by clicking the API Key box and entering in your API Key. You can generate an API Key by clicking the ‘Button Not Working?’ link next to the white Access Token box or by clicking this link (Google has changed their interface a little since our instructions, so some things are not in the exact same place, but the steps are the same).

I’m having the same issue. I just updated the plugin and none of the Youtube videos are showing up.
