No problem. I actually placed the authentication back on since I didn’t think you needed it anymore. Give it a try again as I have just removed authentication.
Thanks 🙂 so you have “Track outbound clicks: Yes” and “No callback: fancybox-youtube” in the Slimstat settings, is that it?
And is that then also the reason why that very last PDF link on http://missionnation.swizzlestickstudios.com/missionaries-to-america-resources/ is not working?
Could you try setting “No callback” to “fancybox-youtube,fancybox-pdf”?
Actually, that is just a bad link that my client inserted. The reason all of the other pdf’s work is because I don’t have pdf listed in the Extensions to Track section.
I just tried adding pdf back into the Extensions to Tack sections and adding “fancybox-pdf” to the No Callback section. That did not work so I changed it back.
Yes, that’s because the Extensions field overrides the No Callback one, as other users requested it to be this way :/
@dsb0328 so what do you have set in the No Callback section right now?
@camu at what point does Slimstat check if a link class matches any of the classes set in No Callback? Is that on click? And what about the noslimstat class? Does that get overridden by the Extensions field?
RavanH,
the check is done on load. When the page loads, the script inspects all the links on the page to determine if they should be tracked or not, by setting the corresponding DATA attributes, which can be seen by analyzing the source code with an inspector (Chrome / Firefox).
Camu
the check is done on load.
Is that on window.onload
? If so, then it will indeed fire after Easy FancyBox has added its classes and adding these to the No Callback field should work.
But as I understand it, adding pdf
to the Extensions field will force the callback again on these kind of links even if the corresponding class fancybox-pdf
is set at the No Callback field. Therefore my question: Is there no special class that could be used to override the Extensions field setting? Does noslimstat
behave the same as any other class that is added to the No Callback field or is it different?
