Support » Plugin: WP to Twitter » YOURLS interface ("local server") somewhat buggy

A great plugin, but the YOURLS implementation is somewhat outdated and could need some updates:

    (a) Using YOURLS 1.7 on the same server as WP I was only able to create random keyword short URLs (had the respective YOURLS plugin enabled) via the “external” interface in the plugin.
Chosing “local installation” always resulted in sequential short URLs.

    (b) YOURLS does support secure passwordless API calls with a (optionally time limited) signature token – the plugin still does it the old fashioned way with username and password. Dev is already aware of this: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/yourls-signature-token

Yes, I haven’t revised the YOURLS support for a long time. The random keyword short URLs issue is odd; I worked extensively on that at one point, and couldn’t get the API to accept my query. But that was before 1.7 was released; perhaps it’ll be cleaner with that version.

This will be updated in the next release.

This was updated in the version just released. (2.9.5)

excellent work, will give it a try shortly.

took a while for me to come back to this, but I now updated to a full 5star – my problems with the yourls interface are fixed.
Apart from these minor yourls problems the plugin never failed to send a tweet despite the ever-changing Twitter API.
