Your update to plugin crashed my site, please fix asap

    On Nov. 10, 2024, I updated your plugin to what is 1.3.22 It crashed the entire site. My host had to disable it to restore. WP warning says:

    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 70 of the file /home/ … /top-table-of-contents/includes/class-boomdevs-toc-settings.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Access to undeclared static property: Boomdevs_Toc_Settings::$prefix in /home….. … top-table-of-contents/includes/class-boomdevs-toc-settings.php:70

    That should be enough to give you a hint as to what happened (I deleted the path for privacy reasons)

    I will update the stars once fixed, hopefully, as it is a good plugin. Mistakes happen.

    Update: May 30, 2025: This plugin maker seems to have low respect for customer’s admin space autonomy. They advertise without their notice being dismissible. Also there is no reason for their plugin name (Table of Content) to take so much space in the admin bar. It really does not need to be there, and if it has to be just a T or TOC should be enough. I had to install another plugin just to get rid of their admin bar name, which seems to serve more as an advertising way. I will adjust stars again if the issues are addressed, but for now, I have to downgrade it. Their notice is advertising itself literally on all the admin pages, and it does not matter what you do, since none of the buttons work. They seem to rush in upgrading their plugin and in the past it has crashed the site, requiring the waste of our time in bringing it to their attention.

    Hi there, there seems to be still some issue with your latest update of this plugin, see below error. It is not crashing the site, but somehow the WP update page is misorganized in terms of the usual order of things. The plugin update box appears on top of the plugins list to be updated. I am not sure if this issue I am having has to do with your plugin, but in the process of checking my error logs, I ran into the below. Hope it will help you fix it. The site is not crashing but something is causing this or other issues.
