Hello,

We use your plugin on our sites and through it we integrate GTM into the sites.

For some time now, GTM(Google Tag Manager) has been showing us the following error:
“Your tag may be installed too low in the page, which can impact performance.” and this is only for the event “order-received”. We do not have such a problem with other events and all are reported correctly, but for this event we cannot fix it.

The event settings in GTM are made correctly as with other events.

We are attaching pictures of the error as well as the plugin settings.

Can you tell us how this problem can be fixed?

Hello,

Thanks for using our plugins.

The scripts are loaded to the head section of the site.

WooCommerce requires custom tracking setup, there are related articles on this topics:

If other GTM tracking is working the issue is not related to our GDPR plugin.

We would recommend Pixel Manager for WooCommerce plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-google-adwords-conversion-tracking-tag/

Hi

Let me quickly chime in here. I’m the developer of the Pixel Manager for WooCommerce. (Thanks for the recommendation @mooveagency !)

@simeon987 I checked your website. I see that the tracking scripts are lazy-loaded. Meaning they are only loaded after user interaction. That makes the pages load faster and gives you much better scores in tools like GTmetrix or PageSpeed Insights.

Lazy-loading tracking scripts works well with visitor tracking. (Because of that, we implemented lazy-loading tracking scripts into that Pixel Manager Pro version and added a few tweaks to make it work really well).

But, since Google has implemented its new tag scanner, it will throw unnecessary warnings.

The tracking works fine.

If you want to follow Google’s advice, you will have to disable lazy-loading the tracking scripts but will have to accept higher scores in GTmetrix and similar tools.
