Looks like Site Kit is unable to place or detect tags on your site. This can be caused by using certain caching or maintenance mode plugins or your site’s frontend is configured on a different host or infrastructure than your administration dashboard.

so please help me how to fix it

    Hi @andriok

Thanks for getting in touch and sharing your Site Health information. As it doesn’t seem like you have a caching plugin active from reviewing the details there may be something at hosting or browser level that caches your site content, resulting in this notice.

In order to try and get Site Kit set up please follow the steps below:

    1. Login to your site from a Chrome browser incognito window
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    5. Attempt to setup Site Kit once more

Let me know how it goes with the above check. If the same occurs please share your current hosting provider and we can perform some additional troubleshooting checks.

Thanks for checking @andriok. After you see this notice have you attempted to set up the plugin, by ignoring the warning and proceeding, by clicking on the “Sign in with Google” button? If so let me know what happens.

@jamesosborne i have tried what you said but its showing error: bad request missing parameter: ‘code’

Thanks for the update @andriok. Can you check does the same occur from a Chrome browser incognito window? Again you’ll need to ignore the re set up warning regarding not being able to detect tags on your site.

Let me know how you get on with this.

@jamesosborne as you said to do setup in incognito mode so i had done and it worked

Glad to hear it. Many thanks for the update @andriok.

What I suspect may have occurred was you were using the Brave browser, or a Chrome extension, which blocks AMP URLs. You’ll find out more on this here. AMP is used during Site Kit set up, resulting in the second error you were encountering.

If you run into any further errors or warnings be sure to reach out to us here in the forums.
