    Hi,

this message gets thrown when class_exists('ZipArchive') fails. This means ZipArchive class is not found. Usually extension=zip.so is missing in you php.ini. If you used wordpress before to unzip files it might be your server supports PclZip, which is the fallback for ZipArchive in wp. So far Edge Suite doesn’t support PclZip. I hope this helps.

I’m closing this issue with a “won’t fix” as ZIP is needed on the server.

It is 4 months later and I am getting the same error message. PclZip will not be supported?

    Hi,

unfortunately PclZip will not be supported. I’m planning a complete rewrite of the whole plugin as the current unpacking process has been the source for many support questions and it seems to be impossible to support all kind of hosters with the current strategy.

I can imagine that this gives a lot of problems. Thanks for your reply, I am looking forward to the rewritten plugin: Although I haven’t been able to use it yet, I think it is a fantastic plugin!
