    Hello,

I am receiving the following alert in every site of my website:
“Tu título SEO no contiene un número” (Your SEO title doesn´t have a number) under Title readability

Please let me know what this means and how to fix it since this error is showing up in all pages.

I have set my WP website to not show the title, could this be the reason?
    Please clarify

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello @aflorarte,

Thank you for contacting the support.

In the “Number in Title” content analysis test, we check if you’ve added a number (any number) in the SEO title of the current post/page/CPT. If a number is found, the test is passed.

Please have a look at this guide for more details:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/#number-in-title

Here’s how you can enter the SEO title:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-meta-tags/#seo-title-gutenberg

That being said, please note that these tests are only there for your reference to help you in optimizing your content. If you feel any of them doesn’t apply, please feel free to ignore them. The content analysis tests do not directly affect your rankings.

    Hope this helps.

Hello again and thank you so much for your feedback

Following your instructions, I could add a number to my SEO title and many sites have scored higher. For example; https://www.aflorarte.com/bibliolab/flores-de-bach-curso-gratis-online/flores-de-bach-para-marginados-del-presente/wild-rose/

However I have added a number in https://www.aflorarte.com/bibliolab/flores-de-bach-curso-gratis-online/flores-de-bach-para-marginados-del-presente/olive/ and I still receive the alert

that the site title does not have a number.

Please clarify why this is so, as both titles follow the same formula.

Also, please, could you indicate how to shorten the URL?? this is another warning I´m receiving . The URL has 121 characteres long. Consider shortening it.

I used redirections, but then I got an error, as though the link were broken when I tried to test the link and to access the page from Incognito Mode.

I appreciate your help very much!!!

    Hello @aflorarte,

We can check that the second post doesn’t have a number in the SEO title:
    https://i.rankmath.com/YfJplw

You will have to edit the SEO title from the snippet editor of the meta box and add a number to pass the test. And you can change the permalink structure of your posts to remove the category, subcategory, or parent slug from the URL to make it short.

Please note that, if your site is already indexed and ranking fine in the SERPs, it is not recommended to change the permalink structure or the URLs of the posts as it can have a negative effect on your site’s ranking. The tests are only suggestions to help you optimize the content and failing a test that doesn’t go with your content will not have any effect on your post’s performance in the SERPs.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

    Hello again!

I could definetely fix the “number” issue from the snippet. Thank you for your help!!!

Now regarding the long URL issue, I actually get confused here. My website is present in Google since long ago, it was indexed many years ago. However, it is not ranking fine. For this reason I am trying to optimize it with RankMath, and now, RankMath says that the score for this page is 89/100.

So my question is: should I leave the URL as long as it is now and wait until these new settings with Rank Math have a positive effect??

Should I use Cannonical / Redirection tool??

Should I allow some time until these new changes are reflected in Google?

Sorry for the confusion. Please clarify

    Many thanks again!

    Hello @aflorarte,

You should keep the URLs as they are since your site is already indexed for a long time. Please note that ranking on Google depends on so much more than just your on-page optimization. You could have the perfect article and still struggle to break the top 10 in SERPs. Here are some of the factors Google considers when ranking you:

    1. Your website’s authority
    2. Your content’s quality and how better it is than the other article currently ranking.
    3. How competitive the keyword is.
    4. How many backlinks you have and if they are better than what the other guys ranking for that keyword have.
    5. Your website’s crawlability.
    6. Frequency of new content and content updates.
    7. So much more that there is a dedicated blog post on it by Brian Dean 🙂 https://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors

We would recommend that you keep at it and work on acquiring more links to break into the top SERPs.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything.

Check your title meta description in all pages. If you need assistance in doing so, you can check this article: Titles, Description, Keywords and their importance in SEO. Have a look at the title tag: <title>How to get rich in 5 years</title> Increase the number of descriptive words in your titles. This will help Google to understand your content better. As per the issue, look at your WordPress SEO settings.
