Your reset password key is invalid.

    Hello!

    I upgraded from PMPro v2.11.2 to v2.12 and noticed a few days later that password reset functionality was broken: when I click the reset link sent to my email and fill up the new password, I get the “Your reset password key is invalid.” message.

    I then downgraded back to v2.11.2 and password reset is working again. The changelog for v2.12 contains some bug fixes related to “Updated login functions to broken links”, could it be it broke something else?

    Thank you for reaching out to Paid Memberships Pro, I’m really sorry to hear about this issue you are facing.

    I was able to replicate this issue and we are looking at it with high priority. For now, you are able to revert back to the “Use WordPress Default” setting on the log in page for the password reset functionality to be routed through WordPress.

    For now, I’ve created a PR that reverts the conflicting logic that affects some sites – https://github.com/strangerstudios/paid-memberships-pro/pull/2560/files

    You may apply this patch to your site for the time being.

    Can you give us a quick fix? I don’t understand this without steps: “revert back to the “Use WordPress Default” setting on the log in page for the password reset functionality to be routed through WordPress.”

    Please update to version 2.12.1 – this version contains a fix for this issue.

    I updated to 2.12.1 and password reset is working again.
