• I never managed to use the API amazon, now I have seen about this plugin and I feel very good, but I still can use it.
Always get the same error Your AWS Access Key Id is not registered as an Amazon Associate. Please register as an associate at the respective endpoint.

I am registered in amazon.es and I was on amazon.com with the same email, but this last was deactivated by inactivity.
I think that this may be the problem that is has associated to my features of amazon.com instead of amazon.es If anyone can help me it I will be grateful.
    Thanks in advance!

  • I am having the same problem. I does not matter how many times I enter the keys, it always fail. But I noticed that the panel from the plugin saying “Please note – You need to add your Access Key ID and Secret Access Key in the plugin settings page for adding liks to Amazon using Amazon Associates Links Builder plugin.” never goes away. So I think that the plugin isn’t saving the information.

Is there anyway to verify that the information is being saved correctly?

    Thanks

I managed to check. Key and ID are not stored in the database. All the other information seems to be there.

Does anyone knows what I can do?

    Thanks.

    Hi pjorgeromero,

Can you confirm that in the plugin’s settings page, after you enter all your information, check mark the Conditions Of Use check-box and hit “Save Settings”, the data is not retained and is lost?

The message: “Please note – You need to add your Access Key ID and Secret Access Key in the plugin settings page for adding liks to Amazon using Amazon Associates Links Builder plugin.” should go away right after you enter your credentials in the settings page and save the settings.

If you’re still facing problems, can you please write us at link-builder@amazon.com with screenshots if possible?

I can confirm. Key and ID are not retained. The rest is.

I’ll try again and make a screenshot.

    Thanks
