    I am trying to submit a grant request to a funder and receive an error message that includes :

    A potentially unsafe operation has been detected in your request to this site

    Your access to this service has been limited. (HTTP response code 403)

    If you think you have been blocked in error, contact the owner of this site for assistance.

    I contacted the company who runs the grant program and they report that they cannot help. I checked to see if my email was on the page of flagged emails and it was not. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    I wasn’t able to generate the error when I visited the page or entered a tax ID number and clicked the Search button. If this should happen again, the way to address it would be to put the firewall into Learning Mode (Wordfence > Firewall > Manage WAF page on your site). Then try the action again. I would advise trying it from a browser that is logged into the admin and, since this is a page visitors can interact with, a browser that is not logged into the admin area of your site. This should add the action to the allowlist and permit the action going forward.
