Yes, but it still might be worth following that as one more approach to getting your grievances resolved.
@fritz – I agree in publicly discussing this in forums.
My personal gripe is with GoDaddy – a truly horrible interface makes it next to impossible to work with their hosting control panel. It is awful enough that I refuse to work with anyone hosted there.
I was shocked to see WordPress recommending them.
GoDaddy for WordPress is horrrible.
I haven’t used bluehost but I have used GoDaddy and it does suck for hosting WordPress.. I wouldn’t blame WP for their recommendations, some people will have great experiences with host while others won’t.
On that note, I’m using Downtownhost.com and they are great.
I have been using BlueHost on several of my website builds and also use WP and have had none of the issues you’ve discussed above. None of the sites have gone down at all, etc…
Bottom line is no one is going to be happy with any/all of the suggestions that are made. If you don’t like the host companies find one you do like and use them.
If you took a poll, you’ll have people arguing both sides for every hosting company.
Just as MartyThronley hates GoDaddy, I love them. I can deal with their imperfect CP since I get excellent reliability and amazing customer service IMO.
