I can’t connect my Facebook account to Jetpack Social despite having reinstalled the application.
Another thing: when it was working, I couldn’t add my Instagram Business account, which is in fact Business and linked to my Facebook account with the same email address.
It tells me “no site found”.
Facebook URL: https://www.facebook.com/spadelamayenne/?locale=fr_FR
Instagram Business URL: https://www.instagram.com/spadlm53/?hl=fr

When I select Instagram Business it offers me the connection via the Facebook connector without leaving me any other choice, then tells me:
No accounts/pages found.
👋 Hey @spadlm53 – could you please post your site URL here so that we can have a look?

Hello,
Here it is: https://www.spa53.fr
Hello @spadlm53 – thanks for sharing the site address. I checked the site and as a first step I noticed the Jetpack connection for the site is not good. We need a working Jetpack connection in order for Jetpack to work correctly on the site.
I took a look, and while your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:
- https://example.com/xmlrpc.php [replace “example.com” with your actual domain name]
This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.
You can see a working example here:
This is the main reason why Jetpack connection for your site is not good!
Since your site returns a 404 error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:
- Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s
.htaccess
file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file. - Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.
Once you are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, please try to reconnect your site:
Looking forward to your reply on how it went! 🙂
what do you mean by address? IP address?
Yes, I use Solid Security but especially Wordfence, which blocks a lot of things following our repeated hacking.
If I understand correctly, you need to allow access to the “xmlrpc.php” file only?
Could you please check again?
It was my Softaculous management console on cPanel that had set too much security.
it’s work now but :
Connection confirmation
No accounts/pages found.
I specify that this is by adding instagram business and having previously added Facebook first.
Hi there, @spadlm53,
Thanks for the follow-ups! I can confirm that Jetpack is well connected now. I also see how important tighten up the security could be for you, especially if you suffered hacks in the past. We can discuss that later if you’re interested, after we fix the initial Social connection issue 🙂
Upon checking the Social connection, I see that Facebook seems well connected, finally, while Instagram Business doesn’t look connected at all. Did you get this message you mentioned above when you tried to connect Instagram?
Connection confirmation
No accounts/pages found.
Can you try connecting your Instagram Business account again via this page? We have instructions to follow, if you need, on this page.
If you stumble upon another issue, please share the error you get, or a screenshot of the error. If you want to share it privately, you can also contact us via contact form – and please include a link to this thread 🙂
Hope that’s all clear! Let me know how you get on.
this time it shows me the message: No Instagram Business accounts linked to your Facebook pages were found.
Whereas before via wordpress I had the message:
Connection confirmation
No accounts/pages found.Hi @spadlm53 –
It sounds like you will need to confirm that your Instagram Business account is connected to Facebook:
Hello,
I have followed your instructions but after adding the Instagram Business link to Facebook in a partial way because it did not want to validate the whole process, I get the following errors:
Unable to add your Page and Instagram account to a business account…
Your Facebook Page and Instagram account could not be added to a Meta business account. You'll still be able to run ads on Facebook and Instagram, but you won't have access to other features like comparing stats or posting to your profiles.

Check account association
Currently, your account association only includes certain features on Facebook and Instagram. Please check this association to use more features on Facebook and Instagram. You'll need the password for your Instagram account.
And from WordPress, I always get the following error from the Jetpack Social module:
Connection confirmation
No accounts/pages found.
Note that we have 2 Facebook profiles on the same Facebook account and associated with the same email address:
Profile 1 - “SPA DE LA MAYENNE - LAVAL” including connection to Instagram Business without error
Profile 2 - “spadlm53 Mayenne” including connection to Instagram Business with the following error:
Check account association
Currently, your account association only includes certain features on Facebook and Instagram. Please check this association to use more features on Facebook and Instagram. You'll need the password for your Instagram account.Hi @spadlm53,
Thanks for the update — it sounds like we’re getting close!
The message you’re seeing usually means that Meta hasn’t fully linked your Instagram Business account to your Facebook Page yet. Jetpack can’t connect until that setup is complete and recognized by Meta.
You can double-check everything by following this guide:
https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-social/instagram/#link-your-instagram-business-account-to-a-facebook-pageIf Meta shows errors like “Check account association” or “Unable to add your Page…”, those will need to be resolved before Jetpack can connect.
Once things are set up correctly, you can reconnect Instagram via: https://www.spa53.fr/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack-social
Let us know how it goes — or feel free to share a screenshot of your Meta setup (privately, if you prefer), and we’ll take a closer look.
Best regards,
Alinunfortunately nothing works on the Facebook side, I only have a partial connection…
