    Your plugin has added some links at the bottom of every page, with photos from various photo galleries set up as links to the galleries themselves. It says “You may also Like” above the the photo links. If I can’t disable this, I’ll have to disable and delete Shareaholic itself. Is there something I can change on the Settings page?

    Otherwise, really like what you’ve built!

  • I now have five buttons, in two rows, on http://www.the-generous-husband.com/

    And, like Natasha above, it seems that only a very few of my posts are being used. How can I check and fix this?

    @shareaholic: can you reindex my website too? it looks like the facebook counter is not autodetecting correctly some titles and I just have published some important news that cannot be messed up.

    Also, is any way to request the reindex from the shareaholic website???

    @phbyerly – When we originally scanned data for http://www.the-generous-husband.com/ after Related Content was activated, we only had 4 entries cached, which is why you see 4 and not 6 recommendations. I reset the cache, but we are currently doing work on both our Analytics (which is used to generate your recommendations) and the Related Content feature. I’ve reloaded your Related Content data, and now, recommendations should not be visible on your site until we finish work on our updates. Your case details have been added to engineering ticket ID SHR-616.

    @nataša – I can also add your case details to this ticket if provided with your URL. We expect to have the problem fixed within the next couple weeks.

    @phbyerly – Concerning the rendering of the Related Content feature, last week, we started experimenting with a double-line style (3×2: three to a line with two lines) as it has been requested by multiple publishers in our community since the release of version 7.

    We haven’t yet made a decision about this feature and are still tweaking the overall app styles as well as working to add more options into the edit panel to introduce additional automatic customization functionality.

    The Related Content feature is currently being revamped in both backend code and styling flexibility. We appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance our plugin and are thankful to receive your feedback.

    The app is still responsive, so the width of your content does factor into how the app is rendered on your site (most will see two-lines, but in your case, for http://www.the-generous-wife.com/ due to your theme settings, the six tiles are appearing on one line so that the thumbnails aren’t stretched beyond a certain width).

    In the 6-recommendations style, you can remove specific tiles using the following:

    .shareaholic-recommendations.shareaholic-contains-6 .recommendation-4,
    .shareaholic-recommendations.shareaholic-contains-6 .recommendation-5,
    .shareaholic-recommendations.shareaholic-contains-6 .recommendation-6 {
        display:none;
    }

    Place this in your theme’s stylesheet (styles.css).

    Because we are still tweaking the styles, the changes we make will reflect on the recommendations that do show, but if, just in case, we do not continue with the six recommendations on two lines, the custom styling (hiding certain recommendations) will no longer be applied as it is contingent on the current 6-recommendations count.

    @marcelo,

    I’ve responded on your other threads. If the issue concerns Facebook, this does not concern Related Content. I provided some info that should help you on the new thread you created concerning this topic.

    As for recommendations not updating with recent content, I also have you set to be notified once engineering ticket SHR-616 has been updated. Your patience is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Only 4? Odd given that I have 1,671 published articles.

    Hours after you said ” showing a maximum of five cards at full screen width” we started to see six. Is six the new limit, or the final limit? I am not blaming you, you just report what they tell you.

    Using display none will allow us to cut down the numbers shown, but not the number generated, which seems a bit of a waste. Please explain to TPTB that we want to have the choice, and that there are other systems that will do that if Shareaholic chooses not to give the end user that power.

    Uninstalling this rubbish!
    I cant believe we are expected to go through every single page we have created and disable something we never asked for. You could at least have a global checkbox to disable related posts from all pages.

    Good Day,

    I had to reinstall after the new update, but now my related posts aren’t showing images and it isn’t pulling my blog posts or my main “Condition pages”.

    Is it due to re indexing my site? If so, could you please do so for http://www.healyounaturally.com?

    Thanks much!

    Hi st3ph3n,

    If you are running Shareaholic for WordPress v7+, on the Available Apps screen, you’ll see options to disable the Related Content app in different template views. You can enable them in all available templates or disable them in all available templates or select just the templates in which you’d like recommendations to appear, such as on your posts.

    Related Content is a feature of the plugin that was first introduced about 2 years ago. Similarly, you can also select where Share Buttons appear on your site through the Available Apps settings page of our plugin.

    Some publishers like to just use the Share Buttons and others like to use just the Related Content feature, and then there are a large number who use both as complimentary features to encourage sharing on their site and keep their readers browsing longer, correlating with the bounce rate.

    It is entirely the publisher’s decision which apps they feel are most beneficial for their site and where they’d like them to appear within their site. These settings are customizable within the Available Apps screen.
