• worked pretty well a couple of hours ago, I clicked the “update button” and .. arrivederci! The plugin is completly dead, it does nor find the content thing ANYHWERE!

No, the_content is NOT missing in my page, it’s your update that messed the plugin completely up

PS: just in case you ask, I have NO caching plugin installed! As I said, it worked a few hours ago, stopped completely since the upgrade

You can always manually revert back to the previous version of Elementor.

sorry to have to come back to this, but I think there must be a weird flow with the leatest updates, including the one .6 version.
I have installed the update yesterday and it worked just fine. Then I shut off the computer, logged back in today, only to encounter the VERY SAME BUG as after the 10.5 update, namely the plugin is not finding the “the_content” part in any page. Not even in the very same page I have successfully edited yesterday after updating to 10.6.

I did NOT install any other plugins in the meanwhile, so this is a really, really strange behaviour.

Fact is, right now it is not working. Could you please re-check?

    Thx

Try to switch browser or make a hard refresh – There might be some caching causing this.

    Hi,
I am 1000% sure it’s not the caching … I tried it in Chrome (which I did NOT use before) and have the same behaviour. Also did a CTRL-F5 with no result.

How can the cache influence the fact that the plugin is not finding the “the_content” part?!?

It’s in the plugin itself somewhere, this keeps happening again and again .. 🙁

    Hi @candy2012,
We have released a new version to Elementor with a fix for this.
    You can check it here:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/elementor/changelog/

Please try and see if it solves this issue.

    Hello,
I’m using Elementor for several months. I’m using Generate Press as theme. I created many pages and posts – no problem with the older versions .7 – .9 Last week I installed the new version .10.5 All the pages and posts I created before (with version .9.2) are still running even after installing the last version 10.6 But when I create a new post the following error message appears :”Sorry, the content area was not found ….
I even changed the WP theme to fourtheen, but the problem resists and was the same as before.
You proposed a solution : add ‘the_content’ function but I have no idea where, what file and what part of file I should take, change or add to resolve the problem with Elementor.
    Please can anybody help me?
