  • Hi Antonio. Do you have a security plugin active on your site? If so, access your site files via your host cPanel or using FTP. Find the /wp-content/plugins folder and rename the folder of the security plugin; something like plugin-name-old. That will disable the plugin and hopefully you’ll then have admin access.

Thank you for your answer, the only plugin that i recently install was woocommerce and i just deleted by FTP but nothing happens, i get the same error, i’m worried about because i’m having the error in the 3 sites i get. pls what else can i do

The major cause of that “error” these days is hosting companies blocking access to wp-login.php at the server level – unless you ask them to whitelist your IP address.

You should contact your hosting company and ask them if they have this in place and if they do ask them to either remove it for your site, or to white list any IP addresses that you normally use.

If you have three sites with the same issue then I’d suspect either a server or some other problem on you host. Have you contacted them to see if they can help?

Edit: I see @catacaustic types faster than I do 😉

Yes, i just contacted them, and they told me that it is a configuration issue and they cannot help me 🙁

Hi @catacaustic, when you said “white list any IP addresses that you normally use”, how can i do that? and thanks again for your help

If it was the issue that I said, then the hosting company would need to do that. But as they’ve said that they aren’t doing that it doesn’t really matter too much I guess.

When they said “configuration issue”, that could mean a lot of things… Server configuration, WordPress configuration, plugin configuration, etc. The way that I’d test this is to do the standard de-bugging for WordPress, and that’s to disable all (yes all) plugins, and change back to a default (Twenty X) theme and test to see if it happens then. If it doesn’t, then you can re-enable everything one-by-one and test until you find out what is causing it. If that doesn’t help, then it’s going to be something set on your server, so unless you can find something in which ever control panel your hosting company provides, I’d contact them again, tell them that you’re running a vanilla and base copy of WordPrss and the issue is still happening so it can’t be a WordPress issue and could they investigate futher as you can’t do anything more from your side.

hi catacaustic, i just called them what you told me and well they now said that they’re gonna check, so let me wait, thank you again for your help and @bdbrown, thanks to you too.

Sure, you’re welcome, although I didn’t do much. @catacaustic gets most of the credit.

Hello all, like @catacaustic said it was an issue with my hosting provider, the problem was solved today, thanks a lot for your help.
