"You Don't Have Permission"

  • I’ve a new WordPress.org site but it won’t allow me to add photos or posts. When I try to write a post, a message appears to the effect that “You don’t have permission to edit”. . . and nothing happens when I try to add a graphic.

What do I need to do?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
