Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v11.3? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Also, can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.2.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/

If you update to the most current version of Yoast SEO and WordPress, does this resolve the issue with receiving the ‘You don’t have access to this page’ message?

Yes, in both cases I am on the latest version.

Can you please confirm if you can still see the /wordpress-seo/ folder under /wp-content/plugins/ via FTP? Are the correct permissions given to that folder (you might need to confirm this with your web host)?

If you re-install the free Yoast SEO via FTP, does it resolve the issue? Note that reinstalling the plugin will not erase your previous settings given that no changes were made in your database.
