• I’ve run into a problem, like may others, but with none of the solutions offered working. Did an upgrade, got this message. Think I had v 3.2.1 running and the database exported from it.

Got the above error message – tried all the solutions I could find in the forums. Did a re-install to, now v 3.3.1, from fantastico repopulated database. Some error.

I hesitate to do another cleaning and reinstall for fear that it will repeat the same error. (PS I am resorting to poking items into the posts table and know that the postsmeta will be no correct for the last three to six posts)

    Any ideas?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thanks for the help, but no joy!
Finally got back to the site to do a monthly update today, did as you suggested, all except changing the theme. It running the Twenty Ten theme with a custom header image, and I am not sure how to activate the Twenty Eleven one.
