"You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page."

Since 2 updates back the plug-in lost it’s up-arrow character I inserted and instead shows text “scroll back to top”, which I don’t want (looks ugly and is not convenient for international visitors)!
When I want to enter settings [options-general.php?page=scrollupoptions] all I get is an error
“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”This is the ONLY plugin giving me this error! I searched a little online, all solutions I find relate to the fact that all plugins would come up with the same error and some general settings need adjusting…
I have since disabled the plug-in!

Getting the same error here and it is no longer showing/working on the blog site.
Hope you can help resolve the issue.
Which Role do you have as user, while trying to access the options page?
Konstantinos: admin account.
Same issue. Logged in with admin account.
WordPress version?
3.9.2 and 4.0
I can’t reproduce the error. Could you send me credentials of this account to kouratoras[at]gmail[dot]com to check that?
Same here. I just installed v 0.8.4 using WP 4.0. On clicking ‘Settings’ I get the message “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” Logged in as admin. By the reviews it looks like a very useful plugin, so I hope you can come up with a fix soon. Thanks for your efforts.
I am trying to reproduce the error, but can’t make it. Could anyone of you send me some admin credentials to email kouratoras[at]gmail[dot]com to check that? Thank you.
Just found the bug! I just forgot to update the plugin’s link, in the plugins page. If you go to Options -> Smooth Scroll Up everything works as expected.
Please update to version 0.8.5, bug was fixed!
Thank you all for the feedback!
A review would be really appreciated:
https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/smooth-scroll-upThanks. That fixed it for me.
This works for me now too, except that with all the back-and-forth the plug-in had forgotten ALL my custom settings (and me too) π
BTW: I am using UNICODE character
#10699
as an arrow up, it looks like this:
β§Konstantinos: I had emailed you my access details today, I assume you don’t need them anymore and I can reset them?!
@webbeetle, i don’t need them anymore, you can reset them. Thank you for the feedback!
Also, a review would really be appreciated! π
