After the latest update there is this weird behaviour:

After uploading some images with automatic optimization off, in the library I can click on Optimize Now´ for each image which works. But, if I select the images and go toBulk Optimize´ I get the message “You do not appear to have uploaded any images yet.”

What makes it difficult for me to figure out what exactly goes wrong, is that my theme (Customizr) also got updated… For every upload I see `http error´ and from researching that I learn that the underlying issue could be that too many image-sizes are being created during upload (only 3 in Settings | Media [Thumb, Medium, Large]).

Obviously, I will also contact the Customizr team for that, to see if that behaviour can be altered.

Directory and file permissions are set correctly.

    Where to start?

Check your server error logs to see if there are any clues there.

Second, how many total images are in the Media Library.

And last, you can start troubleshooting the http error by looking to see how many resizes there actually are. Turn on EWWW’s debugging function, and then look at the Media Library in list view. Each attachment will now have a large yellow block of metadata visible, where you can then count how many resizes are being generated.

    Thanks for your reply nosilver4u.

I disabled EWWW for now, but I still get the http error, so we can safely say this issue is not related to your plugin.

Error Log message when uploading 1 image:

PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /xx/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-image-editor.php on line 419

Uploading 1 image results in a total of 17 files, so it´s definitely time to talk to the Customizr team.

    Again, thanks!
