    Trying to get a working answer for this question since some time, but no luck yet:

    Having the shortcode [shop_page] to a variable product with a few variants on the front page. When adding a product to cart which is already in the cart (at quantity 1), the page reloads, scrolls to top and displays the error message where the shortcode is displayed (NOT on top of the page unfortunately)
    Thats why I want to redirect to the shopping cart instead of showing the error message where noone can see it after addind already added products to the cart.

    As recommended using the woocommerce_add_to_cart short code doesnt work unfortunately.

    You’ll have to customize the extension that limits the quantity per item and create a custom snippet to control a redirect. We recommend one of the services listed on this page :

    Hello and thanks for the reply.
    This does sound different than all the previous answers.
    The mentioned shortcode is not thought through and doesnt work for this case as you’ll have to agree, so can’t book a service to fix your bugs (‘…the page reloads, scrolls to top and displays the error message where the shortcode is displayed (NOT on top of the page unfortunately)’) unfortunately but happy to give it a go myself.
    Would you mind pointing me to the right extension and files please?

    On a side note, having asked this question more than 3 months back. Many people want this bug to get fixed according to the internet.
    Maybe it’s a good time to get off the service recommendations for once and simply offer a fix to make your customers happy 😉
