Sorry to hear that you’re having troubles. I’d be glad to help you troubleshoot, but I’ll need more information about the problem.

    – When you say that “you tried to go back to admin the set things up, mythusmage.org would not load”, exactly what do you mean? Do you mean that you attempted to go to mythusmage.org/wp-admin, and *that* page wouldn’t load? Or do you mean that you did something in the Dashboard, and then the *front* of your site wouldn’t load? And by “wouldn’t load” do you mean you got a plain white screen, or something different?
    – Were you upgrading from a previous version of BuddyPress Docs, or is a new installation?
    – What versions of BuddyPress and WordPress do you have?
    – Do you have access to information from your PHP/Apache error logs that might help to debug the issue?

Simply, the site would not load. Not a page of it. Had to go to be control panel, and then the file center, to delete the plugin directory.

I suspect it was thanks to a blog theme installed by a different plugin, which was then activated without my approval. Can’t remember the name of the plugin, but the theme is called the User Theme; a plain text on white with nothing in the way of graphics and just bare formatting.

As it turns out, there seems to be a number of plugins an themes which cause the “whiteout” according to my host. All you can do is manually delete them from the appropriate directory. In any case, thanks for the reply, and your patience. Much appreciated.
