    I’ve followed the process to generate Instagram API Credentials but once I’ve entered them in the plugin settings screen it returns the following error:

    {"error_type": "OAuthForbiddenException", "code": 403, "error_message": "You are not a sandbox user of this client"}

    I’ve tried to google around to work out if I can fix it but nothing I’ve tried has worked and I can’t understand why it’s not working.

    Any ideas?

  • please Login your developer account, then click on ‘Manage Client’ and click ‘Manage’ button. then in Security Tab check this option : Disable implicit OAuth
    and in Sandbox Tab add your username in ‘Sandbox Users’ list (if not already added)

    may be it can help.

    Hi Karan,

    I checked that and both are set as they should be, see screenshots: http://bit.ly/2HhFWGO and http://bit.ly/2HidPqT

    Any idea?

    Thanks,

    Hi John,
    sometimes this issue occur, if you are using wrong account with added credentials.
    please logout from Instagram website. and then login with the account whose credentials you have added in the plugin panel.
    if its not your solution then please recheck the added credentials for any mistake. OR you can take help from plugin demo page.

    Just tried it this morning and it worked. Didn’t do anything differently to yesterday, bizarre!
