[Resolved] Yoast WordPress SEO – Error loading stylesheet

I’m getting this error message when I try to look at the sitemap created by Yoast WordPress SEO on my website:

Error loading stylesheet: A network error occurred loading an XSLT stylesheet:http://www.humortimes.com/sitemap.xsl

The url where the sitemap should be is http://www.humortimes.com/sitemap_index.xml

I’ve tried disabling the cache plugin, unselecting ‘XML sitemap functionality” and reselecting it, deactivating & reactivating the plugin, all to no avail.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

I fixed this in a roundabout way. I found the file xml-sitemap.xsl in the Yoast wordpress-seo/css plugin folder, downloaded it, renamed it sitemap.xsl and uploaded it to the site’s root folder.

But why wasn’t the stylesheet there already? And why is it named differently in the Yoast folder than what the browser is looking for? Very odd.

Thanks! This was my situation. Maybe becuase I copied a site and the plugin was not installed fresh.
