    Hello,

I just migrated a customer’s site to a new host. Everything is going fine and the site resolves correctly and is faster which was the point! 😉 I have Yoast installed in it.

I have noticed now that when I go in there is now a button in the Yoast DAshboard that says:

    Start SEO data optimization

Then right above it it says

“Because of a change in your permalink structure, some of your SEO data needs to be reprocessed.” We estimate this will take less than a minute.

I’m fine with doing this but when I click on it all it does is immediately log me out of the site lol? Any idea why that is happening??

    Thank you!!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@fourwhitesocks We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site and that certainly is not the expected behavior.

Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v16.1.1? You can learn more about updating here: https://yoast.com/help/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.7? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/

If you update to the most current version of WordPress and Yoast SEO, does this resolve the issue?

Thank you! I am for sure running 5.7 think I’m running 5.7.1 in fact 🙂 Also the most updated version of Yoast too 🙂

I can add that I have had Yoast on this site for years before doing the migration… not sure if that helps or not.

OPPS!! Think I just solved it :/ I just redid the configuration Wizard and now that button is gone …? So guess this is a moot question now lol!

Would still love your thoughts on it!

    Thank you!!

We are glad to know the issue has been resolved. However, if the SEO data optimization button comes up again, we recommend that you run it. Though, if you do not, the Yoast SEO plugin automatically processes most of your content in the background.

OK thank you for that; so this might be a dumb question but how will I know if that is happening aka how will I know if it is happening in the background or running correctly then?
