• Hi.

I installed and activated the Yoast SEO Plugin today and immediately there was a problem with accessing my dashboard. I cannot access any page in my dashboard siting the following:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_theme() in /home/content/51/7737051/html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-admin.php on line 517

    Help!

  • i have the same problem too wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-admin.php on line 517

    :((

Me too, remove it via ftp and it will fix up but still there is an issue somewhere

I also have the same problem after a fresh install of seo plugin today.

Ok this is how i managed to resolve it..

i renamed yoast/seo plugin folder via FTP which then deactivates the plugin, and we can get back into the dashboard *yay!*

and then i updated my WordPress to the the newest one WP 3.4.1
after i went back and renamed the yoast/plugin folder back to its original name via FTP

then back into dashboard plugin section and activated the plug in.

So far all seems good/ok 🙂

I have the same issue. It completely locked up both my site and the admin panel. When I deactivate it, everything comes back on line.

I’m not sure anymore that the problem is Yoast. I deactivated all my plugins, reactivated Yoast, then re-activated each plugin, one by one. It appears the problem may actually be Jetpack, though I’m not 100% sure of this.
