Support » Plugins » Yoast SEO plugin duplicates my page titles

  • Alright, so I’m going to explain my issue as best as possible (I’m not really tech-literate). I just downloaded the Yoast SEO plugin – and while I totally love its feature, it messes up my page titles (on the browser tabs).
    Here’s an example:
Before I downloaded the plugin my homepage simply read: ‘shaneynayguns’.
After the download, my homepage now reads: “Home | shaneynaygunsshaneynayguns”.
It’s super frustrating because it’s not at all aesthetically pleasing. I have tried most of the tips and tricks I found online – posting codes into the functions.php and/or headers.php.
If it helps I’m using the simplemag theme by ThemesIndep.
I really hope that my query makes sense – at least to someone! Please help, it’s driving me up the wall! Thanks in advance. 🙂

Oh p.s: I’m really ok with either or. It’s just the duplication that’s driving me mental!
