I see a lot of posts regarding the Yoast SEO plugin disappearing, it seems the only one I have in common on my clients’ sites is it happened after updating WordPress. I think a few updates back, but don’t hold me to it, since I was not able to work on maintaining the sites at the time. I am now back to the job at hand, getting caught up and making sure they are compliant and SEO search ready.

I do not see any posts, could have over looked, that explain why or if there is a fix in the works.

Any updates? Or should I look for a new SEO plugin for my clients and myself?

    Thank you.

When WordPress updates a plugin or theme, it removes the old version and installs the new version. In rare cases, something halts or breaks during the removal and/or install part of the update process which can cause the plugin to disappear.

As this is very rare and not caused by our plugin code, there is not a fix that we can include to solve it.
