    Love the plugin.
The design of the Yoast SEO plugin is not compatible with other sitemap plugins. Yoast provides a paid plugin to fix this issue, but of course your plugin is a better option. Right now, the designed Yoast plugin is setup to redirect all other news xml pages to the main page. Will your team have a solution to avoid the issue created by the Yoast plugin? Which happens to require their paid option to fix.

If you have plans to fix this issue let me know. Would be great!

The Yoast SEO plugin has an option to disable Date Archives and redirect them to the home page. If you enable Date Archives (but you can active exclusion in search results), the date based sitemaps will not redirect anymore.

Alternatively, you can set the sitemap option “Split by” to “none” but this can cause a slow sitemap.

There should be an admin warning about this (with instructions) but apparently something has changed in the Yoast plugin… Could you go to Settings > XML Sitemap and click the button “Check for conflicts”?
