Yoast Seo Meta description I entered not working but Title working

    Hello Dear all,

    I am using Yoast Seo plugin.

    Google shows the SEO Tittles but not meta descriptions. Would you please help me to resolve this issue?

    For instance: for the Main Page

    My meta description: Supplier Process, Documentation, Product Verification Service Company in Turkey. Audits, Engineering, Consulting, Quality Control, Inspection, NPI, Analysis

    Google Shows: Process is complex · Non Conformity is usual · Product is a value · Supplier Management is difficult · Verification is. Must · Verify your supplier · Via VERIFYMATIC.

    Hello @vivatword

    Thanks for reaching out regarding your meta description. I can confirm the meta description appearing on Google search is differnet from what you have entered in the Yoast SEO plugin.

    Have you added your site to Google Search Console? Then you could request indexing so Google can update their index to match what you want.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I added my website to Google Search Console 2 months ago. Many of the pages are already indexed by google.

    The problem is due to search console?

    No, the problem is not due to that. Request indexing so Google can update their index to match what you want.

    ok many thanks Maybellyne , I will try it.

    But, the point I could not understand why seo titles were indexed correctly but meta description not.

    I am using yoast seo for my other websites and I did not faced this kind of problem.

    Google decides what your title and meta description say. While Google typically uses the title and meta description from the meta data for indexing, this is not always the case. The title and meta description you enter in our snippet preview are suggestions for Google. Google’s goal is to represent best and describe each result. This is not due to the plugin not functioning as expected but rather due to Google using another value for the title and meta description that it indexes, as its algorithm has concluded that there is a better version to index. We have additional information on this topic available at the following link Google shows the wrong meta description for my site.

    Also, if Google is ignoring the meta description you created for a page and creating its own based on the page’s content, we recommend creating new ones that reflect the page’s content.     Due to this being handled on Google’s end, you can do little to force Google to display your preferred title or meta description

    Hello again,

    Some of the pages were reindexed again by Google but the problem is still continuing.

    I could not find any solution till now

    Hello

    When I check the my site with PageSpeed Insights, it says

    “Document does not have a meta description. Description text is empty.” even if meta description is already available.

    As far as I understood that google can not read the meta tag section.

    WOuld you please help me?

    Hi, Im also facing this problem right now. the message on the page html is “this page does not show a meta description because it does not have one, either write it for this page specifically or go into the [SEO – Search Appearance] menu and set up a template”

    I actually already fill in the meta description in Yoast snippet. Would you help me?
