    Hi there,

I have recently noticed that when editing my pages or posts I don’t see Yoast SEO functions anymore (e.g. editing meta description, title, keyword, etc.). The box is still there with it’s tabs (SEO, Readibility, Social, Advanced), but they are not active and if I click on them to see a title or meta description for a particular page, nothing happens. I can neither see this information nor edit anything.

Can you please advise what’s happening? I have checked this on a few browsers hoping this may help, but it didn’t.

Looking forward for your ideas. 🙂

    /Jolita

  • I am experiencing the same issues.

    Yoast 12.9, 12.9.1, 13.0, and 13.1
    Wordpress 4.9.13
    All other plugins disabled
    Tried Safari and Chrome

The same issue happens with SEO from the Dashboard menu – Dashboard/Features/Webmaster Tools tabs are there, but nothing between the tabs and Save changes.

    Thank you for your help.

Updated yoast plug in today on WP. . And now the seo yoast box with the seo and tags area where you enter your seo phrases, keywords, social media tags have disappeared. Also I am not able to launch the yoast wizard . the page opens blanck.

had the same issue on a site with PHP 7.4
went back to PHP 7.3 and everything’s fine

@carinagi77, I have noticed that it’s the same for me – Dashboard/Features/Webmaster Tools tabs are there in the Dashboard, but nothing between the tabs.

    Would appreciate any advice on this. :}

    Hi Jolita,

Thank you for reporting this issue to us and we apologize for the wait.

It sounds like your Yoast meta box is blank. This is a common issue and usually occurs due to a JavaScript conflict.

    To troubleshoot:
    1. Update Yoast SEO and WordPress to the latest version (13.1 and 5.3.2).
    2. Check if JavaScript errors appear in the browser console
    3. If JavaScript errors appear in the browser console, check for any conflicts with other plugins.

We look forward to your response.

@mayadaibrahim, thanks a lot for your reply. Using your advice I found that ShortPixel plugin is causing some JavaScript errors on our page. I have disabled it and Yoast SEO plugin started working. :} Yayyy! I’ll contact ShortPixel to inquire about this error. Hope they can fix it. Thanks again.

Unfortunately mine is still not active..any advice is highly appreciated?
    Thank you!
Can anyone recommend a different SEO plugin?
