 * Hi,
    I’m at the final stages of my website, im using Elementor page builder currently
   as it’s helped me create my site and would be stuck without it.
 * On google console my “home” page can not be indexed as it fails the mobile friendly
   test. this is because i have pictures on my desktop website but pictures are
   replaced with little icons when using a mobile.
    i know this is a yoast related
   issue as the test passed fine when the plug in is deactivated.
 * basically yoast is telling google that my “hidden elements” are actually in the
   way of the users mobile experience
 * Can i tell the seo plugin to only inspect certain parts of the page?
 * ( if anyone can help feel free to run a test on my site and see the html code
   and rendered picture)
 * any thing i can do about this?
    Thanks

 * The [mobile friendly test](https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly?id=oYWOl0yIcuatfczJ787UgQ)
   shows that Yoast is active and returns ‘Page is mobile friendly’.
 * One thing I did see is that you have an opening `<script>` tag but does not have
   a closing tag `</script>` before the Yoast output. This likely means something
   in your setup has inserted an incomplete script which may cause issues.
 * Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that
   may occur. The fastest way to do this is to **deactivate all non-Yoast plugins
   and switch to a standard theme** like [Twenty Nineteen](https://wordpress.org/themes/twentynineteen/).
 * Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend
   using the [Health Check & Troubleshooting](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
   plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check **without affecting normal
   visitors to your site**.
 * As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like
   to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:
   [How to check for plugin conflicts](https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/).

 * Hi,
    yes im trying to sort the /script error out as we speak, i believe it’s
   happening because of my child theme. would this be causing yoast not to work
   probably, website runs fine now and i’ve changed some settings with elementor
   and everything works great on mobile check test as well.
 * why new issue is that google can find my site. but when i search google for “
   site:[https://specialistmotorinsurance.co.uk/&#8221](https://specialistmotorinsurance.co.uk/&#8221);

   the title and meta description are not what i’ve put in on yoast.. it’s been
   2 weeks since i’ve done that is that normal?

 * Hi,
 * We looked at your homepage and we can see that you have an opening and closing
   script tag that appears to have commented out your SEO meta data. See image:
   [https://pasteboard.co/IyU26sx.jpg](https://pasteboard.co/IyU26sx.jpg).
 * We are not familiar with your site so we are not sure why that is happening.
   We ask that you please perform a conflict check by deactivating all your non-
   Yoast plugins and switching to 2019 theme. Then inspect the source code and see
   if that SEO metadata appears and if those script tags are in a different spot.

 * Hello,
    i appreciate all the help, i’ve done what you’ve said and turns out the
   code is being caused from my child theme. I added some code in and didn’t apply
   a closing script.
 * I’ve since done that. Is my yoast seo code looking correct now on my site?
 * Thanks
