Yesterday I updated to the latest version Yoast SEO premium, this morning I noticed that all my gallery images created with WP Bakery (visual composer) are not redirecting to their attachment page.

I did a restore from a backup and all was good again until I updated Yoast plugin again, then got the same problem. Tested all the plugins one by one and it is Yoast that is causing the problem. WP Bakery gallery images not redirecting to their attachment page after updating the plugin.

I have done another restore and all is back to normal, but don’t dare update the Yoast SEO plugin again. I have spent all day troubleshooting this problem and don’t want to go through the routine for the third time.

    Need help with this.

If you flush your permalinks from the WordPress Permalinks setting by saving the permalink structure without changing anything, does this resolve the issue?

If the issue persists, can you please enable the media (attachment) and disable it again directly from the Yoast SEO -> Media (attachment) tab to check whether this resolves the issue?

Thank you, I have tried your suggestions, it doesn’t change anything. I upgraded once more and have experienced the same problem. Gallery Images not redirecting to post page.

After the seo broke my images once more I did another restoration of my whole site to the previous backup which restored my website to working order, only this time the problem remains. I don’t know what to try next, have spent three days trying to fix this problem, it is not something I would expect from a paid product. Is there someone from Yoast who can assist me.
