    Hello,

I am receiving the same error (missing field “MainEntity”) as many other people have experienced in the past and some of them seem to have resolved this issue by updating Yoast.

Among the advice I have seen in the forum is the following: “Compose the FAQ page in the default editor instead of using Elementor accordion so that you can use the Yoast FAQ block.” My theme uses WP Bakery Page Builder instead of Elementor but I believe the same applies to this one as well. The problem is I cannot find a Yoast FAQ block or How to block. Not sure why this is the case or if it plays any role at all.

I have the following setup: An FAQ page: https://ibb.co/prrzXzX . This has been set to an FAQ page on the Schema Yoast settings. However, the questions and answers are not implemented on this page but on a separate section of my WordPress dashboard (https://ibb.co/xJ7K9qN). Each question and answer is also set to FAQ on the corresponding Schema settings of Yoast.

However, I still receive an error about the missing field “MainEntity”. I would appreciate anyone’s guidance in resolving this issue.
    Thanks,
    Konstantinos

  • Hey,

    Thank you for reaching out.

When using the FAQpage as the schema option, the page needs a Yoast FAQ structured data block otherwise you get this error. If you use a page builder like WPBakery, there is no option to include a Yoast structured data block. These are solely built for the block editor. I encourage you to either a) not select the FAQpage when you don’t have an FAQ block on the page or b) create that specific page with the block editor rather than WPBakery, and include the actual Yoast FAQ block into your post content with your questions/answers and that way you can use the FAQpage as the option and you’d have correct schema output.
