Please provide the answers to the following:

    1. Have you performed a conflict check? If not, please do so. Did you discover a conflict?
    2. Does the issue occur when using a default theme with only Yoast SEO active?
    3. Does the issue occur with the current version of WordPress?
    4. Does the issue occur with the current version of Yoast SEO?
    5. Is the issue specific to a certain part of your site, like posts, products, categories, etc?

    Hello,
My site is having the problem too since a recent Yoast Seo update.
I think there is a conflict with WPML translation plugin. As I did not update WPML since a long time, I suspect Yoast SEO.
I’ve got 4 errors when editing a page. This is the first one if it helps.

Same issue here. We switched to a different plugin.

Yoast was our favorite but the last updates keep causing problems. Again and again. Visual composer stops running, titles and descriptions cannot be edited and more advertisements.

It’s a shame but a switch to SEO Framework seems a good choice.

There’s currently a reported bug between Yoast SEO 9.2.x and WPML. The WPML developers have been informed about this and are currently working on releasing a fix. Their beta version has been tested to be working already so the official version should be released soon. You can view the report here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/11646#issuecomment-440657327

The workaround for the meantime is either to switch to the Gutenberg editor OR to downgrade the plugin to an older version (9.1.x) which you can download here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/advanced/

Got the same issue. Updated the WPML advanced fields plugin, but still experiencing the same issue.

Is there already an solution? Thanks a lot!

I’ve got no useful yoast fields accessible after automatically pressing ‘update’ on the plug-in page. Is a fix coming? I’m in the middle of writing a hard post, don’t want to download other versions without knowing the implications, don’t know Gutenberg. Have database contents been lost? Thanks for explaining.

@lauritaa If you use WPML, there’s currently a reported bug between Yoast SEO 9.2.x and WPML. A fix for this issue has been made by WPML and is available in their beta. You can find more information on how to get access to the WPML beta here: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-install-beta-and-development-versions-of-wpml/

I looked up your abbreviation wpml, no idea what it was. You’re saying deactivating THAT might help? @amboutwe

@amboutwe I don’t use wpml but a google translator. So yoast has no other ideas about what’s wrong? Should I switch back to all-in-one seo? I’m not a coder and I see no way to get support from yoast or what am I missing?
