# Yoast causing High CPU usage

 * Hi we noticed that every time Yoast SEO is active we experience a high CPU usage.
 * We already deactivate other plugins and switch theme and we have isolated that
   Yoast SEO free version is the culprit.
 * We are using WPRSS plugin is there any conflict reported with this plugin?
 * CAn you please help.

 * As you probably know by now, there are many Yoast users reporting the same issue.
   Yoast has opened a ticket to address and fix the issue. Apparently, Yoast 14.9
   and 15.0 (by consequence) are duplicating WordPress back-end functions.

 * Hi, we understand Yoast is causing some unexpected high CPU usage. To clarify,
   does the issue still happen if Yoast is the only plugin active on the site AND
   your theme is a basic one like 2020 or 2019?
