Yoast and premium inconsistent WordPress version requirements

    Using WordPress 5.5, Yoast premium let’s you upgrade to 16.0.2 but requires the free version of 16.0.2 which won’t install under WordPress 5.5 and breaks Yoast without it.

    Seems both premium and the free version should require WordPress 5.6 to avoid this inconsistency.

    Fix is to either upgrade to WordPress 5.6 or downgrade premium.
