Yoast 28.0 – SEO Title and Meta Description columns repeat first row values on P
-
I upgraded Yoast SEO from 27.9 to 28.0 on a WordPress 7.0 site using the Hello Elementor Child theme.
During troubleshooting I also used Yoast Test Helper to reset the indexables tables and migrations.
After the reset:
- The front-end HTML is correct.
<title>is correct.- Meta description is correct.
- Canonical URL is correct.
og:urlis correct.- Google Search Console now indexes the pages correctly.
However, the WordPress admin list tables are incorrect.
On both Pages and Posts, the Yoast columns:
- SEO Title
- Meta Description
display the values from the first row on the current admin page for every row.
Example:
- If the first page on the screen is “About”, every row shows the About SEO Title and Meta Description.
- If I navigate to page 2 of the Pages list, every row changes to the SEO Title and Meta Description of the first page on page 2.
- Changing the number of rows per page changes which values are repeated.
The issue occurs in:
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Safari on iPhone
- Incognito mode
It affects both Posts and Pages.
The live site metadata is correct and Google Search Console shows the correct metadata and canonical URLs.
I have already tested by:
- Deactivating Yoast Meta Sync
- Deactivating Code Snippets
- Deactivating WPCode Lite
- Deactivating Post Types Order
None of these changed the behavior.
Is this a known issue with the Yoast admin columns in version 28.0?
