• Just spent the last 24hrs in a nightmarish haze trying to recover all the damage the latest W3 Total Cache version(s) caused to my website.

Multisite, fully up-to-date, everything peachy and then I updated to the latest W3 Total Cache. Mind you, I’m not a novice user and have used this wonderful (but, dangerously powerful) plugin on dozens of websites for a few years now and know how to safely fine tune and make to clear all caches etc etc.

Had the issue others are reporting about it creating thousands upon thousands of files. Can’t even remember all the weirdness that ensued, messed up my admin privileges, killed the subdomain I had.

Had to completely and manually remove W3 Total Cache. Funny thing is, site’s super fast now, so the latest updates were causing issues anyways that didn’t meet the eye (until they did).

Obviously, all of these issues began with the recent overhaul of the plugin. As far as I can tell, 0.9.2.5 is the last known stable version.

Love you W3, will be back once the waters are safe again.

    Thanks, Bryan
