Support » Plugin: Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type » Xprofile edit/update removes names from profile

  • I’ve run into a little problem with the Xprofile Custom Fields Type (perhaps, or Buddypress).

When I add a user using the standard WP form and then edit the profile, the First and Last Names are there as entered (and the name is set to diplay as First and Last names), but when I edit or update anything in the extended profile and then go back to the profile tab the First and Last Names have been deleted and the Username is all that is displayed.

Has anyone else come across this? Thanks S.

I don’t think this is related to my plugin but if you want to be sure. You can deactivate my plugin and try if you still have this issue.

Apologies Donmik, I added a custom PHP.ini file to fix some other issues and the problem has resolved itself.

However, I’ve noticed another issue. In ‘Dashboard>Users>Profile-Extended Profile’ that the ‘Edit Profile Photo’ button no longer works; it previously opened a popup media dialogue but now does nothing.

Same answer. I don’t think this is related to my plugin. Try to deactivate my plugin and see if the issue is solved

    Hi Donmik, just tested.

I deactivated Xprofile Custom Fields Type plugin and the image dialogue appears, acvtivated and the popup doesn’t.

Donmik, I can give you a login if you’d like to check for yourself?

Please try version 2.5. I believe this is solved.
